16 year-old
Gabrielle “Gabby” Douglas of the United States
has made history.
She won the gold medal in the Artistic Gymnastics Women’s Individual
All-Around final on Day 6 of the London 2012 Olympic Games Thursday
(August 2) in London, England.
She is the first black woman (she really is a young lady, but you know what we mean) to do so.
Her style, confidence, and resolve could not be matched. This is her 2nd gold medal,
after winning one earlier this week in the team finals.
And get this, Douglas still has two more chances for medals. She has
qualified for the uneven bars and balance beam event finals. I have a
feeling she may end up with 4 Gold medals at the end..
