[SOURCE]Singer and songwriter Bruno Mars was arrested on suspicion of narcotics possession early Sunday morning at the Hard Rock, Las Vegas police confirmed.
Sgt. John Sheahan said Mars, whose real name is Peter Hernandez, was arrested about 2:40 a.m. Sheahan said Hard Rock security confronted him in a bathroom and discovered him with narcotics.
Sheahan did not know Sunday afternoon what drug Mars possessed.
Mars has soared to popularity this year. He is known for singing and also for co-writing the hits ‘Nothin’ On You’ by B.o.B, and ‘Billionaire’ by Travie McCoy. He also co-wrote ‘Right Round’ by Flo Rida.
On Saturday, Mars had tweeted his fans asking them to come watch him perform at the Hard Rock.
