Singer/songwriter Bruno Mars covers the April 2013 issue of GQ magazine. In thearticle, Bruno talks about his new album, Unorthodox Jukebox, which is mostly about sex.
“It feels good to sing about [sex],” he tells GQ. “It feels… sexy. It puts you in a sexy frame of mind. It feels good to pro-ject. Sex is a great party starter.”
On the hidden sexual innuendos in the song “Locked Out of Heaven”, Bruno says, “Pretty awesome, right?” he says. “The verses to me are what really makes that song: Swimming in your water is something spiritual.”
He’s not very smart, though.
The writer points out that ‘Heaven’ is a metaphor for a woman’s vagina, “In a fairly direct anatomical way.”
Bruno responds: “You can’t use big words with me.” Then he queries, “What does anatomical mean?”
GQ is on newsstands now.
