Terrence J Joins ‘Baggage Claim’ With Lauren London & Paula Patton

Former BET’s 106 and Park host Terrence J scored another win this week when it was announced that he has joined the cast of the David E. Talbert film, “Baggage Claim”.  The star-studded movie revolves around an unmarried flight attendant (Paula Patton) who is determined to find a man before the wedding of her little sister (Lauren London) which is quickly approaching.  Terrence J has signed on as the fiance’ to Patton’s sister.
On November 12, Terrence will begin his new gig as the new co-host of E! News. He recently revealed to Ebony Magazine that he would like to become a cross between Ryan Seacrest and his mentor Will Smith.  With movies like “Think Like A Man”, “Stomp The Yard 2″, “Sparkle” and “Burlesque” under his belt already, it looks as though he’s well on his way.

Terrence J Replaces Ryan Seacrest As New Co-Host Of E! News

It looks as though Terrence Jenkins (better known as Terrence J) is moving on up like the Jeffersons.
After announcing his departure from BET’s 106 and Park back in May, he has now confirmed that he will be sliding into Ryan Seacrest former spot as the new co-host of E! News. His new gig at the anchor desk alongside Giuliana Rancic will begin on November 12.
According to E!’s President of Network Strategy, Terrence J’s resume and connections were an attractive look for the network:

“Terrence Jenkins is a talented and well-connected television personality who will bring an original sensibility to our news programs. Coupled with lead anchor Giuliana Rancic’s proven experience, [Jenkins' arrival] should help cement ‘E! News” stature as the leading source for news across pop culture.

Although, Ryan Seacrest will remain managing editor of E! News, he left his role at the anchor desk back in January due to his busy schedule which includes American Idol, executive producing numerous reality shows, and his daily radio morning show. [What is Ryan not doing these days??]
It’s definitely possible that Ryan and Terrence J have a little history as Terrence appeared on a few episodes of the Kardashian spin off, ‘Kourtney and Khloe takes on Miami’ a few years ago as the co-host of a radio show with Khloe Kardashian.
On his new role, Terrence says:

“I’ve always had a passion for the wide spectrum of pop culture that E! News covers so well; I can’t wait to get started. I’ve had a great career so far, and it’s all been building toward this.”

This is definitely a huge indication of where Terrence is headed in his career. Not to mention, he is still pursuing acting gigs. Big things are ahead!
