Gloria and Matt open up about life before they eloped in Sin City, having more kids and her beefs with Evelyn Lozada and Jackie Christie
This week’s cover story for Rolling Out Magazine is newlyweds Matt Barnes and Gloria Govan. The couple chatted shortly before their secret wedding in Vegas and they detailed their rocky relationship, 8 month break-up from each other and possible plans for a baby.
Gloria Govan On Her 8-Month Break From Matt:

“I grew so much over those eight months. Now I have to be like, ‘Uh uh, I know I used to like that because you liked it but I said all that to be cute for you! I don’t like eggs mother—!’” “So now he’s really getting to now me. That’s fun.”

On Marrying Matt:

“It’s not that we’re not interested; it’s just not now,” says a pre-wedding Govan. “I don’t think it’ll be what people are expecting. I’ll probably be like ‘hey, I got married girl,’ wanna come to the party? I’ll probably send out a flyer for the party.”

On A Non Traditional Wedding:

“Matt’s a traditionalist so he’ll want a big wedding. Which I would do [for him], but it won’t be like a Kim Kardashian wedding. It’ll be like, ‘you want some barbecue?’ I’ll take cereal. Marriage is something I want to do it’s just not on my number one priority list.”

On The Possibility Of Another Baby:

“Maybe, don’t tell him I said this…maybe another baby. If it was up to him… (rolls eyes)…I get baby fever and then I see a baby and I’m like ‘awww’ and then they start crying and I’m like, ‘Yeah! I don’t have anymore!’”

On Previously Saying She’d Like To Slap Evelyn Lozada:

“Absolutely [I stick by that.] My feelings are what they are to Evelyn, I don’t like to kick anyone while they’re down but…I think they’re a cute couple I honestly do [Chad and Evelyn] and I know Chad really loves her. Mainly I hope they keep people out of their relationship. That’s what I’ve had to do.”

On Jackie Christie:

“Jackie Christie has a mouth piece on her, she’ll make a paraplegic feel bad for her. The way way she kind of suckers you in with her words; she’ll give you so many compliments to the point that you’re like ‘damn, okay!’ [extends arms] Give me a hug girl! She’s someone you have to accept, she’s like a beauty mark or a birthmark. It’s like ‘damn that sh— terrible, but it’s there. You work around it.”

Congratulations to the happy couple but we don’t think Glo is really bout that life. She may run LA but she still got ran outta Miami.

It looks like Chris Brown may be growing tired of all the back and forth between his main thang and his mistress and is ready to move on to the next.
Either Karrueche and Breezy really have called it quits, or they have one of those ‘open relationships,’ cause there’s no denying what’s going on in these recent pics that surfaced over at X17 of Chris getting all cuddly and kissy-faced with Pussy Cat Dolls banger Nicole Schrizenger in the club with not a shame in sight.
And all this time Karrueche thought Rih-Rih was the one she had to worry about.
Nicole has since denied that there was any kissing going on and says the two were just “talking closely” because it was loud in the club.

Nicki Minaj Attends ‘Pink Friday’ Perfume Launch At Macy’s

What isn’t Nicki Minaj doing nowadays? She has busted her window of opportunities wide open…
After successfully launching a nail polish collection with OPI and a lipstick with MAC Cosmetics, Nicki has now entered the perfume industry with a new fragrance, titled ‘Pink Friday’.  Yesterday, after making a few promo stops at area radio stations as well as ‘The View’, she was spotted at Macy’s Herald Square for the official launch of her new perfume.
The bottle of the fragrance, features a woman wearing a pink wig and gold Nicki Minaj nameplate. While on the View, Nicki briefly spoke about what influenced the design of the bottle and gave thanks to the people who continue to support her:

They were like, ‘What do you want in your perfume bottle if it’s one thing you could have?’ And I said ‘If it’s one thing I could have it would be a pink wig.’ And they were like, ‘Really?’ They kinda didn’t want to make me feel bad. They were like, ‘Well, we’ll try, let’s see what happens,’ and they brought me a sketch of it and I was mesmerized. I never in my life as a little girl growing up in Southside Jamaica Queens, if anyone would have told me that I would have my own perfume one day and be able to inspire young black girls everywhere to go in Macy’s or Nordstroms and see their face staring back at them, I would have never believed it. I want to just thank everybody who supported me for such a long time and [gave] me a chance for me to be me.

Ludacris is gearing up for a brand new project and he has dropped a sexy new track titled, ‘Representin’ which is giving us a ‘Love In This Club’ type of vibe. The song, is produced by Rico Love and Jim Jonsin and channels the sultry hip-hop & R&B that Kelly and Lil Wayne brought to’ Motivation.
On the track, Ludacris brings his laid-back-but-speedy flow, while Kelly serves up a seductive chorus. She sings:

Louis Farrakhan Speaks On Gun Violence In The Black Community

Nation of Islam leader, Louis Farrakhan was in New York this week speaking on gun violence in the black community.
Via NYDailyNews:

“They are building prisons, and who are they for? Not for the white man,” he told an almost entirely black crowd at the Van Dyke Houses in Brownsville, Brooklyn. “Nobody cares about you. You are the product of your former slave masters. You are not as bad as you are acting. You ain’t manufacturing no guns, but you got some,” the minister said in a sermonic speech dubbed, “Stop the Killing. Your people are being herded into a life-style — that is going to jail.”
Well aware of such violence that victimizes or is perpetrated by blacks, or often times both, Farrakhan’s audience of some 200 people regularly broke into loud cheers. Farrakhan’s message that blacks must look at themselves to stanch urban violence echoed that of NYPD Commissioner Raymond Kelly, who irritated some leaders and elected officials in the black community this summer when he called on black voices to speak out forcefully gun violence.
“There should be outcry that 96% of the shooting victims in this city are black or Latino,” Kelly said in July. “Most of them are young men. When you look at it, at the end of the day, you sense there’s reasons as to why people are being killed. There should be a huge outcry, but there isn’t.” Farrakhan’s sense of outrage over the consistent violence within the black community was palpable, and he said he was not done with his preaching.

Floyd Mayweather, Jr. Ordered To Pay Manny $114K!!!

You think Floyd’s having a bad week? The boxer was a no show for questioning from Manny’s lawyers and the Judge smacked Money-Lovin’ Floyd with the high amount…roughly $133k in legal fees and $774 in costs.
Apparently Pacquiao felt Mayweather crossed the line when the fighter accused him of using performance-enhancing drugs. Manny filed in 2009 and has denied the claims since day one.
According to ESPN, Pacquiao’s team defended their suit:

“Calling a professional athlete a cheater is the most serious charge one can make,” the lawsuit said. “Accusing an athlete of using performance-enhancing drugs — however baseless and lacking in evidence — is toxic.”

Floyd got the news while he’s dealing with two other issues:
He was caught in a domestic dispute with his ex, (and Mother of one of his daughter’s), Melissa Brim and his Boy arch nemesis 50 Cent has been tweeting pics and boasting about his new collab with Manny Pacquiao!

Angela Simmons Designs Party Dress For Her 25th Birthday

Angela Simmons turned 25 today and she celebrated early by throwing a private birthday bash this past weekend in New York City.  She showed up in style to the Martin Lawrence Art Gallery in Soho wearing a dress she designed with New York based high fashion designer Edwing D’Angelo.  Her low-cut, body hugging birthday dress featured gold zipper detailing and a detachable mermaid-esque bottom that she ended up removing before the festivities were over.  A Girl has to dance!

Falcons Star Running Back Arrested After Win Over Denver

Falcons running back Michael Turner celebrated his touchdown in the team’s win over the Denver Broncos by tossing back a few too many drinks Monday night.
Turner, 30, of Suwanee, GA was stopped by a DUI Task Force officer for driving his black Audi R8 97 mph in a 65 mph zone on I-85 northbound just east of Atlanta. He was booked into the Gwinnett County jail just after 5 a.m. Tuesday morning, according to jail records reviewed by The Atlanta Journal-Constitution.
“The officer could smell an odor of alcoholic beverage coming from the driver and proceeded to conduct a DUI investigation,” Gwinnett police Cpl. Edwin Ritter said in an e-mail to the AJC. “During the course of the investigation, the officer developed probable cause to charge Mr. Turner with DUI and speeding.”

“We are aware of the situation involving Michael and are in the process of gathering more information. Because this is now a legal matter, the club will have no further comment at this time.” said the Falcons in a statement released Tuesday.
Turner scored the first touchdown for the Falcons on a 1-yard leap over a pile up at the goal line in the Falcons’ win over Payton Manning and the Broncos Monday night. The Falcons went on to score 13 more points in the 1st half over the hapless Broncos on their way to a stunning 27-21 win.

Oprah Winfrey made the cover of Forbes

Rapper Jay Z is somewhere steaming over the fact that failing media honcho Oprah made the cover of Forbes‘ $126 Billion cover — and he didn’t.
Winfrey, 58, shares the Forbes “$126 Billion” cover with Jay Z’s good pal billionaire investor Warren Buffet, 82, and Microsoft founder Bill Gates, 56. Jay Z, who is not quite billionaire status — shared the Forbes cover of the “400 Richest People in the World” with Buffet in 2010. Jigga, 43, has not been on the cover since.

Winfrey has caught a lot of flack for using her billions to fund building a school in Africa, but the former talk show maven shoulders on. In 2010 Winfrey hosted 7 of her students who took a tour of Boston College for 2 weeks. Winfrey introduced the “magnificent seven” — as she calls them — to her well-heeled friends, including President Obama at the White House.
But despite the school’s success stories, it’s apparent that Oprah has never gotten over the criticism from American blacks: she has plans to build another school — this time in the U.S.
