Nate Dogg is dead, according to a report in his hometown Long Beach Press Telegram, which cited a family announcement.TMZ says they have confirmed the report but did not indicate how.
The West Coast legend, born Nathaniel D. Hale, was known for his distinctive deep singing voice, which was used on numerous hiphop hooks. He collaborated on hit songs with a number of artists including Warren G, 50 Cent and Eminem.
