Trey Songz: My Day With President Barack Obama

With the mid-term elections rolling around, a lot of celebrities are trying to once again, encourage young people to get out and vote. Trey Songz recently recalled the time that he spent in the Oval office with President Barack Obama and the impact that it had on him:

My favorite Obama moment, and actually one of my favorite moments ever, was when he invited me to join him and his family in the Oval Office and told me he was proud of me. Since then, I have actually recalled that moment for inspiration during hard times. I am a family man, so to see the impact that his presidency has had on different generations of my family was life-changing for me. From my grandmother, who grew up believing such a thing was impossible, to my brothers, who will grow up thinking nothing is impossible, I am grateful for his bravery and his belief in himself and in our country that propelled him to the presidency.
