According to TMZ.com, rapper Rick Ross was taken to a nearby hospital after reportedly passing out and suffering a seizure mid-take off, on his flight from Florida to Memphis, Tennessee.
At around 9:55AM PST (12:55 EST), a caller reported to emergency workers that a passenger experienced a seizure on the plane. It was reported that CPR was administered on the 35-year-old Florida native:
A witness tells TMZ, Rick fell unconscious right after take-off.
We’re told his entourage jumped out of their seats to alert plane personnel — at which point a doctor on board administered CPR on the rapper.
The plane made an emergency landing right away — and we’re told, as Rick was being wheeled off the aircraft, he appeared to show signs of life. [Source: TMZ]
Twitter was a buzz with the report, so Ross’ Mabach Music Group artist/rapper Wale as well as Rick’s DJ Sam Sneak tweeted and confirmed that they spoke with Rick Ross and that he’s alive and doing well:
Police also confirmed that Rick Ross has been transported to a nearby hospital. His family members say that he’s currently under close supervision.
