Monica And Shannon Brown Get Married In Purple and Blue Themed Ceremony

Congratulations are in order for NBA star Shannon Brown and R&B singer Monica, who exchanged vows for the second time Sat. (July 9th) at Vibana, a renovated 19th century cathedral in downtown L.A.

The pair were married in a very small, private ceremony last November, but this time around they invited hundreds of friends and family to view the public union. Guests were asked to wear various shades of blue for the purple and blue themed ceremony and reception.

Monica reportedly wore a Stephan Roland gown during the 30-minute ceremony that included guests such as Lala and Carmelo Anthony, as well as Shannon’s teammates Kobe Bryant and Derek Fisher, KANDI, Jermaine Dupri, radio personality Frank Ski, Khloe Kardashian, Ashanti, Nelly, Cee-lo Green, Nene Leakes and Toya & Memphitz. Ciara, Trina and Ludacris’ girlfriend Eudoxie served as Bridesmaids. Monica’s two sons, 6-year-old Rodney Jr. and 3-year-old Romelo, as well as Shannon’s son arrived to ceremony by horse and carriage. The reception had a three-course meal with hydrangea and roses as the centerpieces. After the formalities, the couple kept it real when they had hamburgers from Fatburger grilled under a tent.

The two met on set Monica’s music video for ‘Love All Over Me.’ Within 5 months they were engaged, and a month after the engagement, they were married.
