19-Yr Old Bowie State Student Stabs 18-Yr Old Roommate To Death Over iPod (Mother Of Victim Interviewed) [Video]

A 19-year-old Bowie State University student (Pictures Above In Both Photos) was charged Friday with stabbing her roommate to death after the two argued over an iPod.

Alexis D. Simpson turned herself just after midnight after Dominique T. Frazier, 18, was found in a hallway of her dorm, unconscious and bleeding profusely from her torso earlier Thursday night, the Baltimore Sun reported.
Frazier died an hour later.

The crime shocked the small, historically black college in Maryland, which cancelled classes on Friday.

Simpson left campus after the stabbing, but turned herself into Prince George’s County Police. She was charged with first-degree murder and is being held without bond, CBS News reported.

Hundreds of Bowie State students attended a memorial service Friday and formed an impromptu prayer circle.

Damial Fletcher, 19, a friend of the victim, told the Sun that Frazier was outgoing and well liked.

“If you were having the worst day of your life, she’d just make you laugh,” he said.

Simpson was a transfer student while Frazier was a second-year student. Both were business administration majors.

The two had been fighting for days, WUSA TV reported, and had already begun the process of petitioning for new roommates.

“It’s not worth the stupid argument over something so little,” Fletcher told WUSA. “They don’t understand. Little things can mess up your entire life. Just talk about it. Don’t resort to violence. It’s not worth it.”
